Something wonderful happened in 2015, I fell head over heels in love with wedding photography. I have always loved what goes into that one special day. The dress, the cake, the flowers, hair, makeup, jewelry! Family and friends gathered around to celebrate the love you share! I love it all! I love the hustle and bustle and sheer craziness that comes along with the day. I am 100% certain I could spend every weekend at weddings and never get tired of them. Every wedding is unique and amazing in it's own way and I love seeing each day unfold from behind my camera. I had the honor to work along side two crazy talented photographers this year and soak up their wisdom at every turn. Thank you Kristin and Sarah for believing in me and teaching me so much this year!
The first wedding of 2015 was a vintage, 20's inspired celebration of Chelsea and Jay. The ceremony was small, intimate, and held in the chapel at Jacksons Mill in Weston West Virginia. The reception was held at Stonewall Resort and was quite opposite from the ceremony. The live music and dancing ended around midnight with a group circle and "Country Roads" being belted from everyone there.
My second wedding of 2015 was a Catholic ceremony with an outdoor reception at the exquisite Lawerencefield Bed and Breakfast in Wheeling West Virginia. Natalie and Grant's wedding was simple yet stunning and tons of fun!
June brought back to back wedding weekends, and my first time second shooting with Sarah Dunlap. The first was the celebration of Tiffany and Chris at the gorgeous Verde Farms outside of Huntington West Virginia. It was pretty much a monsoon the morning of their wedding, but lucky for everyone, the skies cleared, and we all witnessed a gorgeous ceremony!
The next weekend, I was again with Sarah in Huntington West Virginia at the wedding of Adam and Christina. Their beautiful and classic ceremony was held at First Baptist Church in Huntington and they partied the night away at the historic Frederick Hotel.
I photographed my first wedding as primary shooter in July and it was such a special wedding to be my first. I have known the Hawkins family since 2005 and was so honored when Cyndi asked me to be there for her special day. Cyndi was absolutely breathtaking and the details of her country wedding were adorable.
I traveled to Grafton West Virginia with Kristin in August to photograph the wedding of Lindsey and Jordan. They married in the same church her mother and father had and they celebrated their reception at the Harrison County Recreation Center in Clarksburg West Virginia.
I ended August in Greyson Kentucky with Sarah at Rock Springs Winery. It was a stunning outdoor ceremony and barn reception for Morgan and Joe!!
Sarah and I spent another Saturday together in September at the wedding of Laura and Casey. Their ceremony and reception were both held and the magnificent Maylon House in Milton West Virginia.
I finished up the 2015 wedding season in October with Sarah and Kristin. My last wedding with Sarah for the year was a Catholic ceremony at the exquisite St. Joseph Catholic Church in Huntington West Virginia. Elizabeth and Eric's reception was held at the Maylon House.
My very last wedding of 2015, I second shot for Kristin at Abby and Jeb's stunning fall wedding at Jacksons Mill in Weston West Virginia. Despite the rain, it was a great day filled with some great shots and PERFECT fall foliage!
2015 was so great in so many ways and I truly cannot wait to see what 2016 will bring!!!
